Radiofrequency Microneedling: Look Younger Without the Pain and Downtime of Surgery

Are you tired of seeing fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, brown spots, or acne scars? Then don’t. Thanks to breakthrough technology, you can minimize these and many other skin imperfections to the point where they’re barely visible.

Traditional microneedling (aka Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy) is effective, but now there’s a new and improved microneedling technique that performs miracles: radiofrequency microneedling. Plus, this month at Z-ROC Dermatology in Fort Lauderdale, FL, we are offering a 20% discount special on this excellent therapy.

What skin flaws can radiofrequency microneedling improve?

RF microneedling is safe for nearly all skin types and can improve a variety of skin imperfections, including:

How RF microneedling works?

Like traditional microneedling, RF microneedling, produces tiny “micro-injuries” in your skin. The injuries are sustained in the underlayer of your skin, the dermis, rather than the epidermis, the surface layer.

The radiofrequency device has unique flow needles that transmit radiofrequency heat energy into your dermis. This radiofrequency heat energy stimulates growth factors in your skin cells. The release of growth factors leads to the production of new collagen that starts healing the micro-injuries.

The process tightens sagging lax skin. As for scar tissue, the RF microneedles help break down the area cells while new cells with fresh collagen replace them. The new collagen plumps up facial grooves and smooths out fine lines and wrinkles.

Your skin’s outer layer isn’t damaged, so recovery is quicker than laser skin resurfacing treatments or many chemical peels.

A study published in the National Institutes of Health Library of Medicine reports that patients who underwent four treatments one month apart enjoyed up to a 400 percent increase in collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep skin looking smooth and supple.

What to expect during your treatment

First, your skin is cleaned gently, and a topical numbing agent is applied to the treatment areas to ease discomfort during the procedure. Next, a handheld device is moved across your skin, creating micro-injuries to the underlayer of your skin. When the dermis is disturbed this way, enzymes between the cells in your skin tissue begin to break down the old tissue and form fresh tissue

Post-treatment care

Discomfort afterward is minimal, if at all, and is eased with Ice packs. There may be minor swelling in the treated area for a couple of days, and your skin might feel warm or itch. However, these issues usually resolve within two days. Always wear sunscreen in the treated area when it’s exposed to sun.

Results aren’t immediately visible. They will take about 12 weeks to see the final benefits, as old skin cells disappear and new ones replace them. You’ll have long-lasting effects, but your body continues to age, so that you may need a refresh treatment after a year or so.
